Getting started with Downexa

A practical walkthrough of accounts, queues, formats, and first downloads on the Downexa website and Android app.
What Downexa is for
Downexa is a download management product. It helps you paste a media link, inspect available formats, choose quality, and either download immediately or place the job in a queue. The same idea applies on the website and in the Android app: you stay in control of what is queued, what quality you want, and where history is stored when you sign in.
We built Downexa for people who already have a legal right to keep a copy of the media they are working with — personal recordings, Creative Commons material, content they created, or files shared under a license that allows offline use. The product is not a shortcut around platform terms or copyright law. Before you download anything, confirm that you are allowed to save that file.
Create an account (optional but useful)
You can try core download features without paying. Creating an account unlocks cloud history sync so your queue and past jobs follow you across devices. Registration uses email and password. We store passwords in hashed form and never ask for card numbers on our own forms — subscription payments go through our licensed payment partner when you upgrade.
If you only need a one-off conversion or a single file, you can stay signed out. If you manage many jobs across phone and desktop, an account keeps filenames, statuses, and preferences consistent.
Your first download
Open the Download page, paste a public URL you are allowed to save, and wait for available formats to appear. Pick a video resolution or an audio-only option when offered. Then download immediately or add the job to the queue so several links can process in order.
On slower connections, prefer a mid-range resolution first. You can always retry a higher quality later if the source still offers it. If a link fails, check that the URL is public, not region-locked behind a login you have not completed, and still valid.
Website and Android app
The website is the full marketing and tools surface: download manager, HEIC converter, pricing, support, and legal pages. The Android app on Google Play focuses on mobile workflows — paste a link from another app, choose a format, and manage the queue without switching browsers.
Features may differ slightly between web and mobile because of platform limits, but pricing, privacy commitments, and acceptable-use rules are the same. Support for both is available at the contact address listed on our Contact and Privacy pages.
